Alaska trip report

Well, we’re back in Bratt. After all the planning and dreaming, the trip was better than we ever imagined. Here are a few details of the trip:

Total trip time: 9 weeks and 6 days.

Total miles in the truck: 12,263. We also rode close to 1,000 miles in Johnny’s rental car and over 1,500 in Ronnie’s car, and about another 1000 miles on sightseeing tours.

Gallons of gas used: 1,248.4. That’s an average of 9.8 miles/gallon.

Stops for gas: 73.

Days until we’re ready to go again: Joan says zero, Lamar says 7. Joan didn’t have to drive 12,263 miles.

Here we are, home again. I’ve already put Lamar to work.
